Not Done Yet...

Almost all towns have eclipsed the one inch mark and parts of the South Shore and Cape are closing in on two inches of rain from today's system.  While the steady rain will be winding down shortly, lots of low level lift is creating some intense drizzle.  Along with that, unstable air to our south out ahead of the occluded front will continue to produce scattered showers and even some downpours later tonight and very early tomorrow morning pushing some towns over the two inch mark.  The occluded front will pass through very early tomorrow morning with potentially one last shower then a drier, balmy and gusty SW wind will take over leading to some sunshine and temps in the lower and even middle 70s!

Following that, the weather turns quite benign.  Heading into the weekend, the temps will be in cool down mode with highs closer to 60 (normal levels).  While the large upper level storm system will be departing, in its wake, there will be a trailing shortwave that passes over New England on Saturday.  This may lead to a brief sprinkle but other than that we are looking at a dry weekend with ample sunshine on Sunday.
