Northeastern Police Officer Injured By Bullet At Gun Range
BOSTON (CBS) - A Northeastern University police officer was rushed to the hospital after she was struck by a ricocheting bullet at the Moon Island pistol range.
The officer was engaged in target practice at the time.
Officials shut down the firing range to investigate the incident.
WBZ-TV's Jim Armstrong reports
The facility is located in Quincy Bay and is owned by the city of Boston.
It's commonly used as a training site for police officers.
She was brought to Brigham and Women's hospital in Boston with what are described as non-life threatening injuries.
