Norovirus Outbreak At Spaulding Rehab Hospital
BOSTON (CBS) – The norovirus is sickening patients and staff at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
The hospital says 27 of 132 inpatients are sick, as well eight staff members.
Spaulding is keeping sick patients isolated in their rooms.
"Symptoms for patients with the virus are subsiding quickly and are being managed successfully," Spaulding spokeswoman Mary Bures said in a statement.
"Spaulding has instituted all appropriate infection control measures and is postponing non-essential visitation to the hospital as an added precaution, but we are continuing to provide inpatient and outpatient care."
Symptoms of norovirus include vomiting and diarrhea.
