No Paille, Kelly At Bruins Morning Skate; Bartkowski Game-Time Decision
BOSTON (CBS) -- The Boston Bruins were without both Daniel Paille and Chris Kelly at their morning skate in Detroit, but they hope to get defenseman Matt Bartkowski back for Tuesday night's Game 3 against the Red Wings.
Bartkowski, who hasn't played in the series while battling the flu, was on the ice for the morning skate and will participate in the warmup. The second-year blue liner will be a game-time decision, according to head coach Claude Julien.
For Detroit, forward Daniel Alfresson will miss the game with a back injury. The Red Wings will replace their regular season leading-scorer with Joakim Andersson for Game 3.
The series is all tied at a game apiece, and now shifts to Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The Bruins haven't had much success in Detroit in recent years, with their last victory in Motown coming in March 2007 -- when Dave Lewis was manning the Boston bench.
The Bruins suffered their worst loss of the season in Detroit, falling 6-1 to the Red Wings in late November. But their current head coach hasn't given any thought to their struggles in Detroit, just the game on hand.
"Tonight is just a game of will, whoever is going to have the will to play their game the best," Julien told reporters on Monday morning.
