NightSide - Stephen Regan Discusses Taxi Driver's Issues With Uber
BOSTON (CBS) - Uber has been battling with city governments all over the country since the transportation service first entered the scene. The struggle between Uber and taxi companies continues to drag on today, while consumers have had to make their own decisions over whether or not to use the unregulated ride service. Affordability, safety, cleanliness, punctuality, and convenience are all issues that come into play and muddy the waters legally speaking. Stephen Regan, spokesman for the Massachusetts Regional Taxi Advocacy Group, sits down with Dan to talk about some of the issues that taxi cab drivers and medallion owners have with companies like Uber. Have you ever used Uber? How do your experiences with taxis compare to your experiences with Uber? Should the company be allowed to offer rides the way they currently do?
