NH Woman Charged With Leaving Toddler In Hot Van
GOFFSTOWN, N.H. (CBS) -- A woman is under arrest after police say she left a toddler in a hot van in a supermarket parking lot.
At the time, the temperature outside was 93 degrees.
Police were called to the Hannaford Supermarket parking lot after customers noticed the 2-year-old girl alone in her car seat in the locked van.
Police say the child was visibly red and sweating.
Police were able to unlock the van and get the child medical attention.
A short time later, police found Sarah Jordan, 25, of Goffstown, and arrested her for child endangerment.
She was later released on personal recognizance.
The child was treated at the scene by emergency personnel. There was no word Wednesday on the child's condition.
