NH State Police: Trooper Was Driving 100+ MPH Before Tractor Trailer Crash
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — The head of the New Hampshire State Police says a trooper who crashed his cruiser into a tractor-trailer in December was driving faster than 100 mph at the time of the accident.
State Police Director Robert Quinn said Friday that Trooper Gary Ingham was at fault when he lost control of his cruiser on Route 101 in Brentwood, crossed the median and crashed into an oncoming tractor-trailer the night of Dec. 2. An investigation revealed that Ingham had reached a speed of either 101 or 102 mph.
Ingham was taken by a medical helicopter to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, where he was treated and released the next day.
