NH State Police Clock Massachusetts Driver At 114 MPH
BOW, N.H. (AP) — A Massachusetts man is facing a reckless driving charge after a New Hampshire State Police trooper clocked him driving 114 mph in Bow.
Lawrence Chiodi of Burlington, Mass., was driving northbound on I-93 when Trooper Sean Faherty of the state police special enforcement unit stopped his 2012 cherry red Ford Mustang just before the junction of I-89 at 8 a.m. Friday.
The trooper's radar gun showed the car was travelling at 114 mph.
The 48-year-old Chiodi was processed at the Troop D barracks and released on personal recognizance. He faces a hearing in Concord District Court on Aug. 19.
The special enforcement unit targets speeders and aggressive drivers and typically operates during holidays and commuting hours.
