NH Ski Slope Hopes Thursday's Storm Is A Sign Of A Snowy Winter Ahead
HENNIKER, N.H. (CBS) - Thursday's storm may have brought rain to the Boston area but a drive north to Pat's Peak and it's a ski-lover's paradise.

Pat's Peak Marketing Director Lori Rowell says the snow couldn't have had better timing.
"It's wonderful, especially during the Christmas holiday week," Rowell said. "Who doesn't like skiing in fresh snow?"

As of 10 a.m. Thursday, Pat's Peak had five inches of snow and it was still coming down.
In Manchester, N.H., eight inches had fallen by mid-morning Thursday, and in Nashua, N.H., there was 4.8 inches on the ground.
Last winter, New Hampshire ski areas had very little snowfall. Ski slope operators are hoping Thursday's storm is a sign of better, snowier, days ahead.
