NH Police Arrest Man Who Allegedly Assaulted Ex With Fire Extinguisher

HILL, N.H. (CBS) – New Hampshire State Police arrested a man they previously said was considered armed and dangerous after he allegedly broke into an ex-girlfriend's and assaulted her with a fire extinguisher.

Police were seeking Carl Grace, 48, of New Hampton after they say he broke into a Borough Hill Road home in the town of Hill.

He was arrested without incident in Danbury, N.H.

During the early Saturday morning incident, Grace allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend with a fire extinguisher.

Both were injured, though they declined medical treatment, police said.

Grace left the area after the alleged assault. Police say he threatened to return and shoot them both.

Police said Grace is charged with second degree assault, burglary, simple assault and criminal threatening, police said.

The New Hampton resident is being held on high cash bail in the Merrimack County House of Corrections. He is expected to be arraigned Monday in Franklin 6th District Circuit Court.
