NH police aren't winning friends on Facebook
Some people who're getting face time on Facebook aren't happy about it.
The New Hampshire town of Boscawen is posting mug shots of people who've been arrested. Some of those whose alleged digressions have appeared on the social media website are crying foul.
Scott Hooper says his 17-year-old son is an honor student whose only blemish is an underage drinking charge that landed him on Facebook for all to see. The boy learned about it from friends. Another man called the police department to complain that his mug shot on the Web page cost him a job.
Chief Sean Sweeney isn't apologizing. He says all arrest records, including mug shots, are public records. Other departments are posting the photos online, as well.
