NH Investigators May Link Body To Missing Person
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire investigators say they believe the body found in Atkinson on Monday may be that of a man missing in that area.
Police say they have yet to confirm the identification of the dead man or pinpoint a cause of death. They expect an autopsy will be performed late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
The body was discovered by a woman walking through the woods near a pond off Pentucket Court. Investigators say the body was burned.
Police continue to search the area where the body was discovered. They have not detailed the missing person report they believe is linked to the body.
Atkinson is on the Massachusetts border just east of Salem.
