NH Home Invasion Killer To File Appeal
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man convicted in a deadly home invasion is going to appeal his conviction.
Lawyers who represent 21-year-old Christopher Gribble list more than two dozen grounds in their bid to have his convictions overturned.
Gribble was convicted last month of first-degree murder, attempted murder and other charges in the October 2009 Mont Vernon home invasion.

Gribble wielded a knife and co-conspirator Steven Spader a machete in the attacks that killed Kimberly Cates and maimed her 11-year-old daughter, Jaimie. Both men are serving life sentences without possibility of parole.
Among other claims, Gribble's lawyers say prosecutors appealed to the emotions of jurors during final arguments and highlighted Gribble's failure to call an expert witness on insanity.
