NH Fugitive Accused Of Killing Parents Arrested In Florida

ORANGE PARK, Fla. (CBS) – A New Hampshire man on the U.S. Marshals Service's "15 Most Wanted" list for allegedly killing his parents and setting fire to their home was arrested Wednesday in Florida.

The New Hampshire district of the U.S. Marshals Service confirmed to WBZ-TV that Matthew Dion was captured Wednesday morning in Orange Park, Fla.

Dion was wanted for second-degree murder, arson, possession of child pornography, and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Police say Dion strangled his parents, Robert and Constance Dion, in March 2014.

The couple was found dead inside their burning home. Investigators soon found the fire had been intentionally set.

In September, authorities said Dion was believed to be in the Tampa Bay area, driving a stolen car.

U.S. Marshals said a recent media campaign in Florida and George drew attention to Dion, causing many residents to contact the tip line.

As a result, Dion was taken into custody at a hotel in Orange Park.

No further details on Dion's arrest are currently available.
