NFLPA Going Over Deal, No More Statements On Friday
WASHINGTON (CBS/AP) -- NFL Players Association president Kevin Mawae says his group's leadership is discussing the terms of "the most recent written proposal" from owners.
Mawae's statement was issued by the NFLPA on Friday -- a day after owners voted for a tentative deal, provided that players approve it, too, and re-establish their union.
He says the proposal being reviewed Friday includes a settlement agreement, economic terms and the process for turning the NFLPA back into a union.
He also says the NFLPA will not make further statements Friday "out of respect for the Kraft family while they mourn the loss of Myra Kraft."
