NFL Week 1 Blog: Manning Out, Colts Have No Plan B
FOXBORO (CBS) - Just a football item right now: How the Colts and their brass made no plan to back up Peyton Manning is just irresponsible.
Not only did they not plan for their future, but they went about it as if they never thought Peyton would get hurt.

They saw how the Patriots had to coach up Matt Cassell after Tom Brady's knee injury in 2008 and it never occurred to them that they may have to do the same thing someday.
Colts GM Bill Polian should be taken to task for this one. I know it's only Week 1, but they are off to a very poor start after losing to the Texans 34-7. Kerry Collins, who was signed to back up Manning during training camp, finished 16-31 for 197 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
