NFL Reportedly Tested PSI Of Footballs From Patriots-Titans Game
BOSTON (CBS) -- For the first time all season, the NFL reportedly tested the PSI of footballs used in a Patriots game on Sunday.
According to Lisa Kraus Edwards of NFL Media, the league tested the footballs used in Sunday's Patriots-Titans tilt at Gillette Stadium before the game, at halftime and following the game. The NFL would not confirm the report to The Washington Post.
For Patriots fans worried another conspiracy may be brewing, Sunday's tests were reportedly random. The NFL has been conducting random testing of the PSI of footballs throughout the season following the offseason's DeflateGate scandal.
The Patriots beat the Titans 33-16 on Sunday, and secured a first-round bye in the playoffs thanks to a Pittsburgh Steelers win over the Denver Broncos.
