Newton North Locked Down After Gun Scare
NEWTON (CBS) - Newton North High School was locked down for about an hour Monday morning while police investigated a report of a student with a gun.
Dr. Paul Stein, deputy superintendent of schools, told WBZ-TV a female student saw a male student with a gun and reported it to a member of the school staff.
WBZ-TV's Jim Armstrong reports.
Police were called in and the school was locked down from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
The student was not found and neither was the gun.
No one was hurt and Stein said no threats were made.
Police will stay at the school for the rest of the day.
