New Sensors To Help Drivers Find Parking In Innovation District
The district has seen a lot of growth in a short amount of time and it can be a challenge to find a place to park.
Starting Wednesday, that process may get a little easier.
The city has installed more than 300 smart parking sensors on Seaport Boulevard, Congress Street, Summer Street and Boston Wharf Road.
The sensors ship information out into cyberspace and you can access it all through "Parker," a free mobile app.

If all goes correctly, drivers would be able to find an empty parking space just by checking their cell phone.
The challenge though, may be getting to that space before it's no longer empty.
