New Poll Spells Trouble For Cahill
BOSTON (CBS/AP) -- The latest Suffolk University poll finds Independent candidate Tim Cahill in a distant third place with just 10 percent of the vote. That's down from 14 percent in the last poll, taken in late September.
Forty-six percent of the 500 likely voters in the Suffolk University/WHDH-TV poll released Thursday say they intend to vote for Deval Patrick in the gubernatorial election, with Charlie Baker getting 39 percent. Green-Rainbow candidate Jill Stein got 1 percent, with 4 percent undecided.

The poll showed Patrick with heavy support among women and in the western parts of the state, as well as in Suffolk County.
Baker's best support is coming from the South Coast and Cape Cod.
The statewide survey conducted Oct. 10 to 12 has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.
