A new Suffolk University poll shows him with a commanding 41-percent of the vote, eight days before the GOP Presidential Primary.
"The margin certainly is raising some eyebrows," David Paleologos, the director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center, told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.
"This poll is suggesting that it's not even going to be close, that it's going to be a blowout."
Ron Paul is a distant second with 15-percent and Newt Gingrich, who was leading in some New Hampshire polls a few weeks ago, has fallen to 11-percent.
Jon Huntsman comes in fourth place at 9-percent with the rest of the pack splitting the remaining 8 percent.
500 likely voters were surveyed. The poll has a margin of error of 4.4 percent.
