New Poll Shows Brown, Warren In Dead Heat In Final Day Of Senate Race
BOSTON (CBS/AP) - A new poll shows the U.S. Senate race in Massachusetts in a virtual tie, the day before Election Day.
The UMass Lowell-Boston Herald survey of 956 registered voters shows Republican Senator Scott Brown leading Democrat Elizabeth Warren by one point among likely voters, 49-to-48-percent.

The one-point lead is in the survey's 4.1 percent margin of error.
The poll was taken last Wednesday through Saturday.
Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown, on a nine-stop bus tour, went to his field office in Lowell, where he sat down and made calls to voters to make a personal pitch for their support. Brown urged several dozen campaign volunteers to continue to work hard until the polls close Tuesday. Brown said his close race with Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren "is about turnout, people getting out to vote."

His other stops include Lowell, Fitchburg, Worcester and Framingham.
Warren is planning to stop by a coffee shop in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood with the late Sen. Edward Kennedy's sons — Ted Kennedy, Jr. and former U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy.

Warren also is planning a visit to the traditional pre-election night Truman Rally in Boston's West Roxbury neighborhood.
