In this new Chuck Lorre comedy, Christy (Anna Faris) is a waitress and single mother of two, with four months of sobriety under her belt.
She's maneuvering through relationships with her teenage daughter (Sadie Calvano), irresponsible ex-husband (Matt Jones), and boyfriend (Nate Corddry) – who also happens to be married and her boss.
"Christy is a mess," to hear Faris describe her character. "She's a single mom, trying to be a good influence on her kids and trying to do the best she can."
Enter Bonnie (Allison Janney), her estranged mother who is a passive-aggressive, recovering alcoholic. While Christy tries to put her life back together, Mom is there to challenge her at every turn and put a strain on her sobriety.
"We wanted to tell a story about a very flawed woman trying to do better," said Co-Creator Gemma Baker.
Watch Christy work to overcome three generations of dysfunction, Mondays starting September 23.
