New England Has Become A Venture Capital Hotspot
BOSTON (CBS) - More than $1 billion in venture capital funding flowed into New England companies over the past three months.
That's a level not seen in a decade. New England companies attracted 15% of all the VC dollars invested across the country.

Some 119 companies were funded, with most of the cash going to software, life sciences, alternative energy and internet companies.
But the largest deal in the country was the $165 million invested in CSN Stores, an established, Boston-based online retailer.
CSN Chairman Steven Conine says it was the right time to find investors.
