For as little as $29 a night, you can stay in the new, 480-bed hostel on Stuart Street, right near Chinatown and the Theatre District.
Hostelling International New England's executive director Deborah Ruhe told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 it's the first certified green hostel in the country.
"We replaced all the windows. We put on a white roof. We put on green elevators that re-capture energy when they go down. We have high-efficiency appliances. We have an ozone washing machine."
The new facility replaces a smaller 200-bed hostel that had been operating in the Fenway.
