Near-Record Warmth

The next couple of days are going to be 'steam-ahs!

Oh yes, we may be breaking records!

The humidity is also on the rise which will factor into the 'uncomfortable' feeling.

Sunshine along with afternoon fair-weather cumulus clouds sum up today's forecast.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

There will only be a slim chance of an isolated storm inland.

Near-record highs are expected as we approach the lower 90s inland... 80s on the coast due to a seabreeze.

Tomorrow will be even hotter and more humid with highs in the middle to upper 90s... 80s on the coast.

There will be a better chance of scattered storms from mid-afternoon through the evening as a cold front passes to our east. With CAPE values 2000+ and LI values -3 to -6, I'd expect a few of the storms to be strong to severe.  As the saying goes, an 'eye-to-the-sky' type of day.

*Record Highs Today:

Boston-97F/1984...Worcester-91F/1984....Hyannis-87F/1999...Providence-94F/1984

*Record Highs Thursday:

Boston-96F/1984...Worcester-91F/1933...Hyannis-91F/1984...Providence-95F/1984

As you wake up on Friday morning, the cold front will be exiting SE Mass..  This will supply more refreshing air as dewpoints drop into the 50s and high temperatures climax around 80F.

Weekend Forecast:

Highs will only be in the 70s this weekend. What a huge temperature discrepancy when comparing today/tomorrow to the upcoming weekend. The pick day of the weekend looks like Saturday as Sunday is setting up to be mainly cloudy and showery.

Melissa :)
