National Memorial Adds Two Mass. Officers Killed In Line Of Duty
WASHINGTON, DC (CBS) - The names of two Massachusetts law enforcement officers, killed in the line of duty, have been memorialized in the nation's capitol.
State Trooper Sergeant Douglas Weddleton's name was added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC Friday night along with Woburn officer Jack Mcguire.

On June 18 of last year, Trooper Sergeant Weddleton was struck and killed by an alleged drunk driver while conducting a traffic stop with another alleged drunk driver on I-95 in Mansfield.
Officer Mcguire was shot and killed during a robbery in December.
Trooper Weddleton's family members were among the thousands who took part in a candlelight vigil.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano spoke at the ceremony.
"Every year we light candles to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, for the American people and for our cherished freedoms, our values and our way of life," she said.
Weddleton and Maguire are two of 311 Massachusetts officers whose names have been engraved on the memorial since it was dedicated in 1991.
