National Adoption Day Celebrated Across Mass.
BOSTON (CBS) - Friday was National Adoption Day and in courthouses throughout the Commonwealth there were lots of smiles and hugs.
Children ranging in age from infancy to 19-years-old were made whole again, part of forever families.
Although in Massachusetts about 75 percent of kids in foster care do end up in permanent homes, that leaves about 600 looking for a family to call their own.
149 families took part in today's celebrations, some adopting several children.
