Much Better...
After days of soaking downpours that saw some areas pick up over 4 inches of rain, a cold front has cleared the coast sending in a very comfortable airmass for the afternoon. Winds behind the front are blowing out of the WNW...offshore...and temps are warming despite the lower humidity. Highs today with ample sun will reach the lower 80s.
Late tonight, a second cold front will approach and clouds will increase after midnight. The front won't have much forcing along it but just enough for a few passing showers tomorrow morning before a new, dry push of air clears us out for the afternoon behind the front. Although the clouds will be thinning and the sun getting brighter, temps will stay level and may even fall during the afternoon tomorrow as our first taste of Autumn air settles in.
We will really feel the chill Friday morning...clear sky and diminishing wind will promote a temp drop into the 40s for many suburbs with an afternoon rebound only into the upper 60s! Cool high pressure will slide south of us over the weekend shooting warmer, more seasonable air back into the region.
