Mourners Gather At Public Gardens Following Bin Laden Death
BOSTON (CBS) - Usually, folks gather at the 9/11 memorial at the Public Gardens in Boston on September 11, but mourners met instead on Monday following news of the death of Osama bin Laden.
WBZ-TV's Jim Smith reports.
Exactly 206 white roses were placed at the Garden of Remembrance, one for every Massachusetts resident killed on Sept. 11, 2001.
Many local politicians including Mayor Tom Menino, Gov. Deval Patrick, Lt. Gov. Tim Murray, and Attorney General Martha Coakley were at the gathering.
