Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt In I-495 Crash In Bolton
BOLTON (CBS) -- A single-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon involving a motorcycle on Interstate-495 south in Bolton seriously injured the 62-year-old driver of the bike, according to public safety officials.
The Attleboro man may have suffered a double amputation in the crash, which occurred at about 5:20 p.m., public safety officials said.
A Life Flight medical helicopter was dispatched to the crash scene but the man was taken by ground ambulance to University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, state police said in a prepared statement.
The Bolton Fire Department and EMS was also dispatched to the crash.
At least one lane of I-495 was closed during the emergency response to the crash, the state police said. Troopers investigating the crash remained at the scene as of 7 p.m.
