Motorcyclist Killed In Head-On Crash With Alleged Drunk Driver

REHOBOTH (CBS) -- A motorcyclist was killed by an alleged drunk driver Saturday afternoon in Rehoboth.

First responders responded to the area of Agricultural Avenue and Rocky Hill Road shortly after 2:30 p.m. A pickup truck traveling south struck the motorcycle head-on in the northbound lane, police say.

Police found the motorcyclist on the ground in the southbound lane with serious injuries.

Despite receiving first aid, the 63-year-old Seekonk man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

The motorcyclist has not been identified by police.

The truck driver, 40-year-old Jeffrey Fisk of Rehoboth, was taken to Sturdy Hospital and later released.

Fisk has been charged with homicide by motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.

He is being held on $100,040 bail and will be arraigned Monday in Taunton District Court.

The crash remains under investigation.
