Mother Stabbed In Dorchester While Pushing Child In Stroller
BOSTON (CBS) - A young mother was stabbed while pushing her child in a stroller Monday afternoon. The victim was walking on Midland Street in the Savin Hill section of Dorchester when someone came up to her and stabbed her several times.
She collapsed in front of an ice cream store and customers rushed to help her until an ambulance arrived.
"The fact that somebody would stab somebody else, much less a mother with a child right there is just a whole other level of depravity," said one witness.
"That's what's disturbing me the most," said Joe Conway the shop owner. "They did it while she was walking her child. That's just cowardly."
The child was not hurt and the woman is expected to survive. A 17-year-old female has been arrested in connection with the incident.
