"Most Wanted" Fugitive Caught In PA
KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. (AP) - A man wanted for attempted murder in Massachusetts has been captured in Pennsylvania a few days after being featured on "America's Most Wanted."
Pennsylvania State Police say 20-year-old Richard Sam, of Lowell, Mass., was arrested Thursday at a mushroom growing business in Kennett Square, Chester County.
Investigators say Sam fled from Massachusetts after he opened fire on a group of people in a parking lot in September 2008, striking an unarmed man in the shoulder and chest.
Pennsylvania police arrested him following a foot pursuit after they received a tip from someone who had seen Sam featured on the TV show on Saturday.
Sam is being held on $250,000 bail at the Chester County Prison. It was not clear if he had an attorney.
