More Than 2 Million Dehumidifiers Recalled Due To Fires

BOSTON (CBS) - More than two million dehumidifiers are being recalled because dozens of them have caught fire.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the dehumidifiers can overheat, smoke and ignite.

They were manufactured by Gree Electric Appliances and were carried by twelve different brand names: Danby, De'Longhi, Fedders, Fellini, Frigidaire, Gree, Kenmore, Norpole, Premiere, Seabreeze, SoleusAir and SuperClima.

The CPSC says the dehumidifiers have been linked to 46 fires.

They were sold across the country at stores including Home Depot, Kmart and Lowe's between January 2005 and August 2013.
