More Than 150 Marijuana Plants Seized After Dorchester House Fire
DORCHESTER (CBS) – Firefighters rushing into a burning home in Dorchester on Friday night found more than just flames and smoke.
According to Boston police, more than 150 marijuana plants were discovered inside the two-family home on Wyoming Street.
Authorities said they found between $700,000 and $1 million worth of pot in the house.
Police said firefighters found 150 marijuana plants in the basement and second floor of the house after the blaze late Friday.
Police also found irrigation, heating and light systems in the house. During the investigation, 176 marijuana plants were recovered and collected as evidence, the police said, adding the investigation is ongoing.

The fire broke out around 11 p.m. One firefighter suffered a leg injury and a laceration while battling the two-alarm blaze.
The flames caused about $500,000 worth of damage to the home. There was no word on whether there were any arrests related to the drug find.
