More Sunshine Is Coming Right Up
What a beauty for the last day of August!
More sunshine is on tap today with low humidity and high temperatures reaching the upper 70s to lower 80s inland.
A light seabreeze will keep temperatures a tad cooler along the coast.
Watch Melissa's forecast:
September will kick-off with a mix of clouds and sun and slightly cooler high temperatures in the middle 70s.
The dry weather prevails through the beginning of this holiday weekend.
Labor Day Weekend:
As a cold front nears, there will be a slim chance of a spot storm for the 'burbs north and west on Saturday evening.
Otherwise, it will be a partly cloudy day with highs near 80F.
Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and storms during the afternoon and evening. Highs will once again be flirting with 80F.
Labor Day may turn out to be a little tricky.
The GFSx model has the cold front stalling across eastern Mass. as a surface low develops along the boundary to our south.
This would provide a partly sunny day with a chanace of scattered showers and storms.
On the other hand, the EURO depicts a 'better' picture if you'd like a sunny afternoon.
The EURO holds onto clouds and a few rounds of rain early in the day before showing skies gradually clearing out during the afternoon. I am following the EURO for this extended forecast.
Atlantic Tropical Update:
T.S. Katia may become a hurricane by tonight. It is expected to be a major hurricane by this weekend. At the moment, models DO NOT have this storm reaching the East Coast.
