More Snow At Our Doorsteps
Today will be a dry one with fading sunshine late in the day. Winds will be light from the west, and high temperatures will hang around the 40F mark.
Thankfully, with a blog title like that, it's not going to be more than 1-3" if you live across southeastern Massachusetts. The light snow will settle in after midnight through approximately 6am Thursday for neighborhoods situated south of the Mass Pike. We are forecasting 1-3" from southern Plymouth and Bristol counties to Cape Cod and the Islands. Then, as you travel farther north and closer to the Mass Pike, you'll receive anywhere from a few flakes to a coating to an inch.
Valentine's Day: Overall, it's just going to make for a slippery Thursday morning commute for untreated streets and roads. The sunshine will prevail for the majority of Valentine's Day. Afternoon highs will be in the lower 40s, so it will continue to eat away at the huge snow piles and extensive snowpack.
Friday will be a partly sunny and rather mild day as highs come close to touching 50F!
This weekend is looking more quiet than anything. There will be a chance of a few snowflakes along a frontal bounday from Friday night into midday Saturday. However, this is not exxpected to add up to much of anything. Then, models are stil showing a big storm developing way offshore on Sunday leaving us with sunshine. It will be a much colder day though as we don't even make it to the freezing mark. Highs will be around 30F.
It's also looking like a cold and calm beginning to your February vacation week.
