More Rain...
Nice change of pace out there this evening as lowering humidity is flowing in on a northerly breeze behind a surface coldfront. This front will stall just offshore and park itself there for a couple of days. Tomorrow we will be on the cooler side of the front, with a NE breeze temps will only manage the lower and middle 70s. An area of low pressure will begin developing to our south along the front off the Mid-Atlantic and it will send plenty of clouds our way. The clouds will thicken up in the afternoon and scattered showers are likely to break out. The low will track up the coast and travel just off or even over the Cape Thursday night and Friday morning. The result...soaking rain, especially along the coast, that may result in over one inch of rain.
The storm will be departing in the afternoon and partial clearing will take place. In the wake of the storm, offshore winds will dry us out leading to a great start to the weekend with highs in the 80s and plenty of sun. Another slow-moving front will thro a line of showers and storms at us Sunday evening and because of it's sluggish pace, lingering showers will occur on Monday.
