MLB Might Consider Clubhouse Ban Of Alcohol
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP/CBS) -- Major League Baseball is planning to consider whether there should be a ban on alcohol in clubhouses.
MLB executive Joe Torre talked about the issue Sunday before Game 4 of the World Series. There have been recent reports that several Boston pitchers drank beer in the clubhouse on days when they were not starting.
Torre says baseball is concerned about the alcohol issue and wants to look at it on a wider basis.

Torre says that many teams already ban alcohol in the locker room. If drinking is barred, the former big league star and manager says it's important to let those involved "understand the reasons you have rules."
It was reported after the season Red Sox starters Jon Lester, Josh Beckett and John Lackey drank beers in the clubhouse during games on their off days, and more recently that they drank in the dugout.
All three have denied the report of drinking in the dugout.
