Million March Against Child Abuse Walk Comes to Massachusetts
May 4, 2013
There is an alarming number of children that are being abused in the United States. In a recent congressional hearing, experts testified they believe nearly 10 children die each day as a result of child abuse. Also, 1 out of 6 boys and 1 out of 4 girls will be sexually molested by a close and trusted person before the age of 18. On this edition of Centro, WBZ's Yadires Nova-Salcedo talks about this growing problem and the "Million March Against Child Abuse" walk that took place for the very first time here in Massachusetts, with Karla Romero, founding president of Mass Appeal International, the organization spearheading the Massachusetts walk.
