Mild and Rainy
It's going to be a pleasant start to the day before rain arrives later in the afternoon, specifically after 2pm. It will be a wet evening commute with the chance of snow/mix/rain for areas across north-central Massachusetts as well as southern NH. This will need to be monitored in terms of slick/slushy road conditions. High temperatures will reach the middle 40s, which is ~5F degrees above the average.
The precipitation will linger until the early morning hours of Wednesday (~2am). Then, the sky will clear out partially. Rainfall totals will be between .25-.50".
Snowfall amounts could reach Coating to ~1" for those areas located outside of the 495 corridor.
At this point, colder air will be working in for the middle part of the week. Wednesday will be a partly cloudy day with a few afternoon snowflakes. Highs will be colder in the upper 30s along with breezy northwest winds.
It will be a quiet end to the week. Thursday will be partly cloudy with more sunshine expected on Friday. Highs will be in the middle 30s on Thursday and highs will hover around 40F on Friday.
***The Full 'Snow' Moon will be on Monday, February 25.
***In less than 3 weeks, Daylight Saving Time will begin (Sunday, March 10).
