Midweek Speed Bump

A cold front has slowly moved offshore which will allow for drier air to work in today. Skies will be partly cloudy.  Along with the lower humidity, our high temperatures will remain above-normal in the middle to upper 80s. (avg. high: 81F). Your beach and boating forecast looks great today!

We will maintain dry conditions on Tuesday with increasing clouds during the evening hours.  High temps will be flirting with 90F once again.

A slow moving cold front will induce showers and storms on Wednesday.  Highs will be in the lower 80s.

The front will move eastward Wednesday night, but a lingering 500H trough may produce an isolated afternoon storm on Thursday. Otherwise, Thursday will be partly cloudy along with moderate humidity and high temps in the middle 80s.

Friday will be sunny to start, but an increase in cloud cover will be noticeable as we are reaching dinnertime. Highs will be near 90F along with humidity at moderate levels->dewpoints in the middle 60s.

This weekend looks like it turn out a lot like this past weekend.  A cold front is going to move eastward at a snail's pace. That will bring unsettled weather on Saturday and Saturday night. It may even linger into the first half of Sunday. This would create a mere spitting image of this past weekend. Highs will be near 80F on both days.

Tropical Update:  Two tropical waves show little potential of developing into our next named storm.

*For the latter half of August, long range models are keeping the 'extreme' heat from the Rocky Mountain region to the Pacific Coastline.
