Midweek Nor'Easter
It's a tranquil start to your work and school week.
Today will be partly sunny with a raindrop or two possible for the Cape and Nantucket. It's going to be chilly with highs in the middle 40's.

Election Day will also be cool with highs only reaching the middle 40's. Luckily, the sun will be shining!
Then, it's the midweek Nor'Easter.
An area of low pressure will track up the eastern seaboard, although the exact position of the system is still not 'etched in stone'.
The latest NAM forecast model keeps the center of the low farther offshore which would keep the heaviest rain off the coast as well.
The GFSx and the EURO models show a 'closer call', a more westerly track, which would provide heavier bouts of rain on Wednesday evening/night.
Overall, the latest thoughts are that the rainfall will tally up to 1-2" (isolated amounts of 3") from Wednesday evening to Thursday night.
The higher elevations near western Mass. and southwestern NH may receive 1-3" of snow from this weather event as it switches from a snow/wintry mix to showers Thursday afternoon.
Winds will begin to increase on Wednesday with a northeast orientation and gusts eventually reaching 30-55+mph from Wednesday evening to midday Thursday.
Minor coastal flooding may occur around high tides, which will be astronically low, around 5 p.m. on Wednesday and 5 a.m. on Thursday.
Some beach erosion will also be possible along east-facing beaches. Watches and warnings will most likely be issued starting later today or tomorrow.
The weather will return to 'non-eventful' mode by Friday evening. The weekend ahead looks calm and seasonable.
