Temperatures will be on the uphill swing today, but they won't be nearly as high as the past couple of days.

Winds will shift from the northwest to the southeast today. This will provide cooler temperatures for the coast.  Highs will be between 60-65 inland and 55-60 for the coast.  High clouds will create a milky sunshine effect throughout the afternoon with a frontal boundary in close proximity to our southeast.

High pressure will continue to stave off rainfall through the remainder of the work week.

Thursday will be a little warmer with highs in the 65-70 range, except for the Cape and Islands that will be hanging near 60.

Friday will be partly cloudy as a the frontal boundary moves eastward at a snail's pace. Highs will be in the middle 70s with the Cape and Islands being cooler once again.

Saturday will start off in a dry fashion, but a cold front will near the region as we introduce rain into the forecast by late in the day.

Highs will start to drop on Saturday as temperatures top off in the upper 60s to near 70. Then, as the front moves even closer to the region, and winds have an onshroe orientation, Sunday will be in the middle to upper 50s along with rain.

An upper lever low cuts off to our west which puts New England in its path of positive vorticity.  The upper level low will continue to bring us rain through Monday and a few scattered showers on Tuesday as well. Midweek is showing drier air working its way into northeastern U.S.

Halfway through school vacation week.
