Former Middleborough High School Teacher Killed In Weekend Crash
MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — A beloved former teacher and soccer coach at Middleborough High School has died in a weekend car crash in town.
Authorities say 61-year-old James Braga was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash Saturday night on Route 44.
Police say two vehicles were involved and the driver of the other vehicle was hurt. The other person's name was not made public.
Because the crash remains under investigation, police did not release additional details.
Family and friends say Braga was a Middleborough native and Vietnam-era Air Force veteran who was dedicated to the children of town. He taught business at the high school until retiring several years ago, and also coached boys' soccer.
He is survived by his wife and three sons.
