New Gas Leak Reported In Lawrence Was Unrelated To Previous Incident
LAWRENCE (CBS) – A new gas leak was reported in Lawrence on Saturday morning, but it was determined to be unrelated to what caused explosions and fires in the city on Thursday.
The latest gas leak was confirmed on South Broadway near Salem Street just before 11 a.m. on Saturday.
A strong odor of gas was reported in the area. Firefighters were stopping people from walking in the area.
It was determined to be an unrelated incident and Columbia Gas took over the situation.
