Mercy Centre In Worcester Is Saved By Generous Donations
WORCESTER (CBS) - Just a few years ago, a school for special needs children in Worcester was at risk of closing due to a lack of funds.
When the call for help went out for the Mercy Centre, a lot of folks stepped up.
Parents, The Emerald Club of Worcester and Catholic Charities all pitched in. The school didn't close and is doing so well now that students are getting iPads. The devices help the kids learn much faster because they can practice skills on the many apps designed for them.
Some others to thank for this include Holy Cross women's basketball, local businesses and generous donors.
