WBZ WaterCooler: The Beatles At Suffolk Downs
BOSTON (CBS) - At The WBZ Water Cooler: Around this time back in 1966, anticipation was building for The Beatles. They played Boston's Suffolk Downs on August 18, 1966. They had played Boston Garden two years earlier, but the attendance at Suffolk Downs ended up doubling the Garden show.

We caught up with Larry Kane who went on tour with The Beatles back in 1964. He has written three books about them, and says he remembers asking his bosses "Why should I travel with them? They'll be here in September and gone in November." He was hinting at a band that was good, but didn't have staying power. In this behind the scenes look, Kane says the band, including John and Ringo, had their differences "but were really an extraordinary ensemble."
