For Charlton resident Eric Tucker and his pals, Sunday is one of those days. Hours before the 6:30 p.m. kickoff at Gillette Stadium, they will arrive at a stadium parking lot, set up their 12'x12' tent, and start cooking.
Tucker, known to his friends as "Tuck Dog," has been tailgating with his buddies since 2001.
Over the years, their parties have evolved into a science.
They have a fire pit and an 80,000 BTU heater to keep them warm, and enough food to feed a small army.
Menus range from scallops wrapped in bacon, to teriyaki shrimp, chicken wings, baby back ribs in a smoker, and lobster.
This week, lobster bisque in bread bowls made the menu as a special treat.
As if that's not enough, Tucker has managed to rig a 32-inch flat screen TV.
Tucker says there's no better way to escape from life's everyday responsibilities.
